Standard beaded ropes wear through quickly sending plastic beads flying off like little missiles. ultra ropes have surgical tubing on the bottom where the rope impacts the ground. This has 2 advantages. First the tubing absorbs the impact with the ground on each rotation ending the ground to bead abrasion that destroys beads. Second the missed jumps that strike the head legs sting a little less. So take some fear out of jumping with ropes that last 4 times as long.
